Patrol

Deputies are responsible for patrolling 607 square miles of the county. They answer calls and complaints that come into the Sheriff's office. They patrol all county roads and provide a presence as a measure to deter crime. Deputies patrol and enforce state laws and county ordinances throughout the area. 

There are several responsibilities as Deputies that have to be taken care of and are as follows: responding to calls, taking reports, making arrests, transporting prisoners, serving warrants/writs/ subpoenas and civil papers for court, Bailiff Duty in court, traffic control, and drug eradication. They also investigate accidents on county roads and assist other agencies within Monroe County and surrounding areas.
